Helping Son 'Fix' his GF's '90 9000.
That kid and these cars is a full time job keeping/catching up.
He has all the bits for a Fresh camchain install (endless chain, sprockets & guides, oil pump seal/oring, cover gaskets etc. We/he has decided to leave the cyl head in place as it is a semi recent HG replacement.
Beyond having to remove the Oil filter housing to get the Oil cooler lines out of the way, safely, it's proceeding.. albeit slowly.
Usual Saab cursing though.
The Cover is still on tightly at this time.
In the AM the sump is next to be pulled.
Is there the usual 2 bolts into the bottom of the timing cover from the sump on this model as well ? I expect so, just not yet spotted the rascals. It's black 'n ugly under there from a long time pump seal leak :-)
Can't seem to locate any other 'missed' fasteners tho, when I tested the new gaskets against the cover as reference.
