When I over-stiffened the suspension of my previous CSE with Abbott springs and Konis, I put on Goodyear F1 GS-D3s which I run at 36-37 psi. They have quite flexible sidewalls. This improved the ride considerably but the tire pressures are important if you want to keep the right balance between ride and steering response.
By the way, I've stayed with the Goodyears on my current Anniversary. My fronts are German-made and the rears Chinese (I normally swap the rears to the front when the latter wear down) and my impression is that the Chinese rubber is wearing slightly faster.
