Ladies/Gentleman.
My poor '95 9000 CS decided it would be best to not turn over when I attempted to start her again recently. It's quite ambiguous as to what the problem could be though. She doesn't even attempt to turn over. Normally I would consult my Haynes manual, but it's over 300 miles away.
The relevant information:
The tachometer and speedometer stay completely still while attempting start. There is no check engine light on when starting the car. The battery died in the mean time, but when I attach jumper cables and let it charge, it sits at full voltage and the electronics work (headlights, dashlights, etc). When I turn the key three dash lights turn on other than the ones before the ignition is initiated, the brake fluid, abs, and head light indicators. These go off when the key is returned to the off position. I'm sure it's common knowledge that there is usually a click from the relay box under the dash when turning the ignition, I still have that.
What I've done:
Checked all fuses and grounds for corrosion, made sure battery voltage is high (the batt is <1 year old). Checked connection to DI (though I haven't checked the DI itself [I was confused on the exact procedure, though I read up on it]). I've been short on time to work outside, but have been reading extensively here for solutions. Thanks for your time.
