By "Inop" He (my dad) means that the window rolled up, but would pop kind of off the tracks for a few months last year, requiring you to hold it in a certain position while you operated the switch in order to have it roll up all the way.
Finally, one day when it was rolling up there was a large "pop" and the window would not go up any more. I managed to wrestle the window 95% of the way up, and that's where it has stayed since last summer.
Got the car back from the dealer last night after the regulator diagnosis, and noticed on the way to work this morning that they hadn't rolled the window up as much as I had it so it was whistling on the highway. I tried the switch out of curiosity and what I assume was the relay did make a sound in the door when I tried to roll it up, but it did not move.
Does this mean it can't be the switch pack?
Thanks!
