Boost fluctuation, waiver problem fixed

so my 93 Aero had been behaving poorly under heavy acceleration, mainly in 3rd 4th and 5th gear. I was overboosting AND had very noticable boost fluctuation or back-off that lunged the car forward, then back, then forward again.
I have finally solved the problem!
It was actually a combonation of two things. One, was of course, a bad BPC valve. This was causing the overboost and sometimes fuel cut-off. The other, seems to have been a weak fuel pump! It finally died the other day. I diagnosed it as such and bought a new insert from Autozone for $100. My Dad came down from VT (im in NH) with the ring removal tool borrowed from my hometown Saab indy. He had the new pump installed in about 2 hours (I was working but he said it went pretty smooth).
Now the car boosts hard just into the red in all gears and it STAYS SOLID with no waiver! :) I was very excited about this and wanted to share in case anyone is having similar problems.
Im guessing that the fuel pump being weak (not pressurized enough?) was causing the engine to miss under heavy load and that was giving me boost fluctuation.
whos knows, maybe the weak pump was also the culprit of my below zero no starts this winter. The engine would flood but maybe its because although the pump was "working" it agian, didn't pressurize the fuel enough to fire. maybe wishfull thinking but who knows!
