The erm Gay couple down my street have been Buying coupe or 3 year old
Mercs for the last decade or so. (Previously they had BMW's) They buy these from the Mercedes Dealer tyopcally as trade ins. One is a 500 sl(?) 2 seater w Folding metal roof. Less than 40 k on the odo It looks Showroom 'new' not even any visible wrinkles on the drivers' seat leather. Cost him approx $40K
The 'other' person on the household has a 350 Cl 4 dr (?)I'm not very good with Merecedes nomenclature :-) In Robin's Egg blue Metallic it is (despite the written description) genuinely stunning in real life.. again, had for a bargain price and in as absolutely New condition throughout.
May or may not appeal but these Merc trade ins are Very Nice cars in Primo condition for bargain pricings (in Mercedes terms) Certainly not used Saab cheap. But a good 40% discount on new prices. And Mercs at least the more 'upscale' models, are damned fine cars, by any yardstick :-)
I'm seriously thinking of following their example on my next purchase.
