The bottom mounts (there are two) can be a PITA to do. You need to raise and support the engine while you're changing them. Not hugely hard, except that you're lying on your back to do it, unless you have a lift.
The tranny mount isn't as hard, but you still need to support the trans/engine while working on it.
But if the bottom ones are NG, chances are the uppers are taking some serious abuse. And it's not only the mount bushings but the bracket that holds the horizontal dogbone bushing that attaches near the firewall and the vertical bracket with the front upper bushing that attaches to the engine in front of the alternator.
The bracket for the horizontal one can be a problem, as I'm discovering on the '96 my daughter is driving east from LA. She's at a shop as I write this finding out why it keeps coming loose. So make sure that bracket is solidly attached to the car. When the other mounts are bad, it puts strain on the bracket and things break or come loose.
Should be fairly straightforward for a good tech, but IMHO a good Saab indy will be better and faster. Most places never have to do a motor mount, and Saab mounts are a big unique.
