The heater is adhered to the back of the glass. You might be able to get it off, but it doesn't matter since you can't get the element separate from the glass. In the same way, the male connectors are fixed to the element, and therefore to the glass. If it's just the female connectors that are on the wires that are corroded, then you just have to replace those. (I'm going on the assumption that the amount of corrosion will have compromised the structural integrity of the connectors, and this is based on what I've seen when I looked at a few of these things. If they're not that bad you can clean them up.)
