The glass is actually quite easy to get out; should take less than 30 seconds using only a flat screwdriver, search the board for instructions if you haven't done it. I wrecked one at a pick'n'pull because I hadn't read the trick to getting it apart beforehand. If you can find a pick-your-own wrecker, buying just the glass is much cheaper, probably $5-15. A standard wrecker will likely only sell the whole mirror assembly.
