The front and rear senor can be spliced with a 1995/5.0/ Mustang sensor. Around $45 - $55 each. Just order front or rear. The rear sensors only check the front sensor and rarely goes. The only thing that I've found is that the Mustang sensor splice doesn't work for all cars. I tried using these Bosch sensor for Mustang on a Saab 92x wagon and a Subaru Outback and failed. Always sends a code that the heater voltage fails. I realize now that the manufacturers set a specified Ohm resistance in the ECU to proprietary the use of only specific O2 sensor. Bosch sensor heater circuit for the Mustang sensor is around 8 ohms, where Saab92x and Subaru are around 2-3 ohms. I can add resistors to bring resistance up but, can't take any away. If you chose to splice, stagger the splice connections so there is less chance of shorting out the splice. Any body else have a theory on the compatibility on splicing sensors to save $$$$$. I've haven't heard anything on what make a sensor proprietary so after checking and questioning, I think it has something to do with the ECU and O2 heater circuit Ohms.
Trying to save money for the cost of splice sensors on customers cars is just becoming a PITA.
