With ambient temps in the range of 30F to 60F it should warm up to about the 8:00 position and stay there whether in town or on the highway.
I don't know about the Wahler brand, maybe someone else will comment.
SimonS once posted that the genuine Saab thermostat is made by MotoRad and put in a GM box. If so, then MotoRad's model 265-192 is the 89C thermostat and their 265-180 is the 82C thermostat.
RainX haters would say your car is wise. Hope the leak is easy to find.
