I have a 1994 Aero with a manual transmission that has been displaying some very odd electrical gremlins.
When the car starts, it rouns okay for a short time, then the tack need drops to 0 and the car continues to run, but very poorly. There have been instances that when the tach drops, the AC radiator fan begins to run and is not impacted by the ACC settings. After a few restarts, the car behaves properly.
I recently had that transmission replaced, so I plan to check the connection of the CPS to see if they are clean or have been damaged. It may be that when removing the tranny, this component was compromised.
I have replaced the FPR recently, all of the vaccum lines are in good shape and I recently installed a used AIC valve.
I am not sure what to think other than a coincidental failure of the CPS and ACC unit at the same time.
Any suggestions or thoughts would be GREATLY appreciated.
Dan
