I made the switch to Mobil 1 ATF 3 years ago when the car had close to 150,000 miles. Now at 185,000 miles with no transmission problems.

At your own risk of course. Saab did not approve Synthetic ATF for its automatics.

Change it at 15,000 mile intervals. Avoid full throttle in 1st and 2nd.
