My digital camera went on the fritz last year and I didn't think to even take any with my film camera. Not that I would have wanted either anywhere near things in the middle of the job, when I was smearing black epoxy all over everything I touched.
You know, this job would have been lots easier with polyester resin and fiberglass cloth, and maybe I should have done that; I'd have done the job way sooner and if well done it too lasts a long time.
Our inspection system here in Maine has been getting crazy strict over the years. Now, in one of the poorest states in the nation, you practically have to have a new car to pass. My guess is it's lobbying by the new car dealers, and it's absurd. You can't even find an "easy" sticker station around where I live, in the prosperous southern part of the state. Partly because there are darn few old-time garages left anywhere, almost all gas sales happens at big corporate-owned plazas, and no one gets their cars fixed anymore.
But what do I care, my car's solid now, for years I hope.
