I've had the gas/temp gauge on off thing on my 96CSE for a while. Seemed to be worse in wet weather. This past week my ACC started flickering after first starting out in the morning. I planned to pull the dashtop and go after the ground behind the LH speaker. Yesterday I pulled the radio and ACC and used contact cleaner on the ACC contacts. I wasn't able to get back around to spray the gauge connector and had to settle for unplugging/plugging several times.
Today was another wet day but everything seemed ok. Time will tell. It only took 15 minutes or so to do what I described so it's definitely worth a try.
