I thought I had a leak from the snugly-clamped inner end of the outer passgr side CV, as the boot wasn't torn but there was oil (I thought thin grease) everywhere. I also thought I had a leak where power steering lines clamped to the reservoir.

Turns out the oil everywhere at that end of the engine, and even down on the axle, was PS fluid, apparently from a pump with a front bearing going bad, making the seal let oil pass out and get spun all over where I was seeing it.

Once the PS pump finally came apart I realized the true source. All fixed now.
