I hope it's OK to add this info in the interests of saving someone else from learning this the hard way:
Beware of 'Xentec' branded lighting kits/parts.
The ballast which failed did so obviously as a result of not being 100% weatherproof as claimed and there is no means to even contact the company to collect upon the advertised '2 year warranty'.
Apparently that brandname only deals with sellers who hide behind online auction and sales sites so they can sell alot.
The sellers also apparently know that the sites they use will only allow buyers to contact them for a much shorter time than the 2-years they've promised replacements in which is a very clever way to evade claims.
This is exactly what happened to me - so unless I were now to buy another whole, new kit from them I cannot even contact the seller to make a claim...so instead I learned from this and bought a better quality kit from a more customer service oriented source this time.
