There are still 2 or 3 in my small town---see one every few weeks--but used to see one fairly often. When I go to my indy's shop it's all OG 9-3s 9-3SS/SC and 9-5s. A 9K there is now rare. The local pick and pull has none. If I had room for it, I'd buy one for the parts, but we're at the limit with four cars in the driveway. Or just buy a decent one from a salt-free state and use that. There's not much else I'm really interested in buying or driving.
I snagged a bunch of electrical bits off my daughter's '96 when it died a year ago. Should have gotten more but it was in a tow yard there was just no time.
My '96 is coming up on 211K. Needs a few things, but nothing huge. Hoping to get a few more years out of the beast.
But still, when you post something here about a 9K, people respond in a day or so. The 9K spirit is still alive and well, and the expertise runs pretty deep.
