I hear yeah' I know or tend to think I know the point of dumping the clutch in such a manner as to destroy it and not. (Quite simple really destroying the transmission is revving the motor to 6000 and immediately taking the foot of the pedal and letting it burn out, on the other hand to get the same results with far less destruction is rev to 2200 and quickly but not abruptly remove the foot off the cluch and soon as the cluch is fully released dig into the throttle, the car produces the same burn out, only differents is in the first the car is not moving while the second the cars at about 10mph before wheel spin.
This was an average day a normal burn out except something I never experienced before happend. It's so puzzling I had to get on saabnet and ask the masses. To have such an exstream event take place with no ill effects is unheard of.
Tripping the fuel cut off would likely kill the motor but wouldn't produse a super loud backfire. Total electrical failure might ignight the fuel air mix in the super hot muffler to produse the loud back fire but there wouldn't be a reason for it to smoke for the 10sec after restart.
The most likely senecio I can think of is how ever the old owner fabricated the muffler caused some sort of blockage. Cutting all exhaust would creat all symptoms. The car currently runs perfect no miss fire, odd shutter, no fluid loss, it's like the event in the cars eyes never took place.
immediately after the episode I did drive it extra hard I'd admit to try to get what ever happend to happen again. If it's going to break I'd like it to break so close to home not 100miles out, but there was nothing, no hint of problem. Super crazy
