Thanks Craig for you information. The timing and the balance chain has been replace about a year and was making the noise right after too. The mechanic who did the job, told me the noise was coming from the bearings. I had a low oil pressure and when the mechanic took the timing chain cover off, he found the bottom Balance Chain Sprocket was completely gone. Found metal particles all over the engine. The mechanic clean it up very well and check for gauges and replaced the timing and balance chain, timing chain cover and the oil pump housing. End end up with a better oil pressure but not where it should be @ 80º Fah.(I don´t remember " what pressure when it was tested) From what a have read here and other forums, low oil pressure can be from worn down bearings. The sound, I have used a mechanics stethoscope and sounds like its coming from the bottom end, but not sure. Having the low oil pressure and ticking sound, I´m assuming (from what I have read) the bearings are worn down and I forgot to mention that the bottom Balance Chain Sprocket was completely gone when the open the timing chain cover. Found metal particles all over the engine. The mechanic clean it up very well and check for gauges and replaced the timing chain with the oil pump housing and end up with a better oil pressure. replacing them, would at least bring the oil pressure up some and hoping the sound will go away too.
Again, thank you and any inputs will be greatly appreciated
James
