Completely incompatible unfortunately. I don't see why you always have to adjust the temperature though. For me in the winter it was always great at keeping the temperate it is set to and I probably go months without touching it.
It's much more annoying in the summer when I usually drive with the windows down. I installed a C900 AC button in one of the switch blanks so I don't have to hit Econ everytime to turn off the AC. I still have to turn the fan down though, and given the pain of replacing a blower motor being able to turn it off would certainly be nice. I guess one could install another switch inline with the power to the ACC to completely turn it off.
