Well that seems a little extreme over a rubber hose! As cgwiz mentioned there's nothing magical about this stuff, worst case most of it can all be put back together with generic fuel-rated hose and some connectors and claps. Let us know what you find and I'd bet someone has tackled it before and has a creative solution even if it's not initially obvious (basically the only reason I can pass as a competent mechanic is that someone smarter than me has figured it out before and posted it on the interest)
