Do you have the tools in the tool kit, in particular the Torx drivers? I would swap the DI before any more driving vs. getting stuck in the middle lane in traffic during a downpour...... If you have no more issues, you found the problem.
Long cranking to start can be other things, such as leaking vacuum hoses or a defective one-way valve on top of the fuel pump.
