I used high temp RTV silicone and glued it back into place. Worked fine except it was a PS mirror and now the lettering warning about "objects in the mirror blah blah blah" is now orange. You can buy replacement mirror glass on auction sites for cheap. Much less work than changing the mirror assembly.
