Too bad it's probably already in their computer. You might have been able to find a "more lenient" inspector. I had a garage that used to give you a break on body rust if the rest of the car was mechanically well kept. In MI there are no inspections. My 96 Aero has some holes I need to patch up back in the spare tire area and already has some riveted patches on the inner panels at the back. That's why I won't dump a bunch of money into this one to keep it on the road. Too much rot. It was a Maine car before I bought it.
