I have good luck with the Martin Seymore "Cast Blast" 1400 degree spray paint. I also use that same product on the exhaust manifold. On the exhaust manifold in the heat affected areas it turns a brownish tint. On the calipers it is a darkish cast steel silverish color that does not show brake dust. Another use is on the "hub" of the rotor. Best to scrub down the rotor/exhaust manifold/hub with a stainless steel brush, clean as suggested above, and do two coats. This paint does not need to be cured in an oven. It is quite durable and can easily be touched up. I painted my exhaust manifold 4 years and 120k miles ago. The paint still looks OK-not perfect but still pretty good. I can easily touch it up if I chose...no problems with "lifting".
