I´m having the same problem not having Speedo. I´m still troubleshooting the system. Bypassing the white and black wire straight to the speedo is a good idea. As soon I have a chance, I´ll try just that.
Sometime the speedo works and sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes when I start the car and drive off, it works with no problems. Other times it doesn't. Only one time while driving it, the speedo quit working.
Hopefully I find what is causing it and I´ll post it here and I fixed it. Till then, I´m hoping someone had the same problem and post what was causing it and how they fix it.
