Condensation inside windows after heavy rain Posted by JerseySaab [Email] (#666) [Profile/Gallery] (more from JerseySaab) on Sun, 30 Dec 2018 14:50:53 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I've been having an issue with my '95 CSE. After a heavy rain (we've been getting a lot of that lately) by the next day there will be condensation on the insides of the windshield and the windows. There is no liquid water making its way in. The carpet, headliner, and seats remain dry.
At first I thought the moisture might be coming in through the HVAC system or windshield, so I put on one of those magnetic windshield covers that covers up the air intake, windshield, and windshield gasket all around. Didn't make a difference. Another thought was the sunroof, but as mentioned the headliner is not getting damp anywhere.
So basically at this point after a big rain I have to drive around for a while and/or crack the windows and run the defroster on high to clear the windows. The windows may still need to be left cracked open for a while after doing this to prevent condensation from coming back. My '97 CSE, which experiences the same conditions, does not have this problem.
Any ideas what else to check?
