Hi Friends,

Which year(s) of 9000 ABS pump is compatible with a 1991 9kt? Would it be 1990-1993?

I had a stiff braking issue with my '91t the other night. Couldn't figure it out on my own, so brought it over to the shop. Turns out the ABS pump is on its way out. They were able to knock on it and get it working again, but it will likely fail soon.

Estimate for the part (1100.00) and labor brought the total to around 2k, which is a bit rich for my blood. I found a used part from a '92 on ebay, but I'm not sure if this will be compatible.

Am also searching other places for parts.

The other option is the scrapper. With some rust back on the wheel wells and the valve seals in need of replacement, it's growing hard to really keep my blind love for the 9000 series economically feasible! But I really do love this car, so will probably do the wrong thing and try to get it fixed!
