I tried this again over the weekend. I got the snap ring opened up but could not get the CV joint to budge. I swapped ends and took the tripod joint apart with a puller.....and of course spilled needle bearings all over the paper towel. I was getting very frustrated trying to get the needle bearing assembly back together. Finally put two small zip ties around them 180 degrees apart and was able to get the roller started and then snipped one zip tie, pushed it on a little farther and snipped the second zip tie, then pushed it on the rest of the way.
