I just had the dash out I wouldn't have thought hooking up to those would have caused your issue. From what I can tell they are just vacuum pass throughs, through that firewall. Actually on mine there was nothing connected on the dash side. Before I was aware of those little vacuum passages I had made my own holes.the only other time I've started up the car and the throttle has gone wide open it has been because of the air idle control valve has been stuck. I'm not sure that's what caused yours but that's what made my 900 act up.actually on my 9000 the air out of control valve was making the car surge I cleaned it and that fixed it.
