I just installed the condenser in our 1997 9000 from FCPEuro.
The part number on shipping label and box is Nissens 94300.
Visually comparing with 1994 condenser:
It does have a port on passenger side facing forward for pressure switch. It came plugged with a short threaded aluminum plug and rubber washer.
It looks identical to the pressure switch location on the 94.
The top guide pin on the two look to be the same-a 5/16 inch diameter pin, 1/2 inch long, that slides upwards into rubber guide.
The visual difference: the two lower mounts.
On the newer model the two bolts pass through both intercooler AND condenser, in the finned area of condenser, and are probably longer than the ‘94, because it has ‘L’ sheetmetal brackets on each lower corner, thus using shorter bolts.
The fans on the 94 are shorter on the bottom couple rows to accommodate the two brackets
The bolts come through from back to front on both, with a 10 mm hex nut holding the condenser up and in place.I think like they’re installed with intercooler so I don’t know how you would remove them without removing intercooler.
I Was able to drop the condenser on the 97 out the bottom, Without removing intercooler or radiator or draining fluid.
If one couldn’t find the older model condenser, I IMagine that with some reworking of the two lower bolts you could make the newer model work. One may have to re-move the existing bolts by cutting off the heads, ( tight space) And re-fitting slightly longer bolts from the front side, with the locknut on the backside.
