95 9000 cs manual with aero ecu and bits. Speedo doesn’t work so I m stuck in base boost but has no relation for this post I don’t think. Turbo is a bit upgraded, rebuilt td04 with a 19h wheel.
Built a 3 inch exhaust from turbo all the way last year used a sport cat and magnaflow muffler and no resonator. The sound is nice, would like more throaty. Thinking about what a resonator could do for that purpose. Maybe a different muffler. If the pitch lowers maybe I won’t mind the Extended highway ride.
What stands out is the “put put” backfire when I am engine braking going down a slight hill for example. Normal rpms just going through the neighborhood leaving the car in second with no throttle I keep getting a light backfire. Every second or so ....and sometime two quick back to back.. put.... put put. It’s very consistent and it’s always there. Would like to not have that.
What do you guys think? No other issues really.
Thanks for any input.
