Is the one known for cracking of solder joints on the base. This leads to high beams that won't turn off, or won't turn on, and myriad other things ... I guess including (now) a possible 'no start' voltage drain.
A partial solution: take the relay out once in a while, maybe one a year, during your day of preventative mx stuff, or while the oil's draining on your next change. Heat up a soldering iron, pop the cover off, and reflow the main six prongs going in from the base. You'll see the solder on the joint shimmer / shiver for a split second as it melts back into place. You don't need to add any additional solder.
Kinda similar to making a central locking box stop acting up intermittently.
