replacing rear sway bar end bushings - and struggling Posted by dave24 [Email] (#457) [Profile/Gallery] (more from dave24) on Fri, 20 Mar 2020 14:46:48 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
1997 9000 CS
I'm attempting to refresh the rear sway bar bushings - the ones at the end of the bar - but having a terrible time to press them in. The car has a 19mm bar, which is consistent with stock bars in CS, CSE and Aero models, and the bushings are the ones spec'd for this application. In the past, I've used a long bolt and nut, and various washers and sockets, and applied dish soap to lubricate them. But no matter, I can't get these to ease into their homes.
So I'm hoping someone out in the 9000 community may have struggled through this and have some suggestions that might help.
Thanks, Dave
