no slack in the cable. According to the manual, the band adjustment is too involved. I might end up taking it to an independent. Also, seems like the engine power is in the higher RPMs, 4k and higher. It really starts to bog down when shifting to 3rd gear. I have resorted to manually shifting at stop lights, even then, it's just not as quick as a 2.3 should be (I think). Thanks for the advice.
