When mine broke, I bridged from what was left of the bracket to the master brake housing/bracket which resides to the right of the clutch cylinder bracket. I will take a look at that repair and see if I can provide a more specific detailed explanation of what exactly I did. This was about six years ago; as I recall, there was enough material left in the bracket to drill a new hole in it and also a correspoding one in the brake master cylinder bracket. I then used a long bolt through a sizeable alloy spacer to bridge the gap between the old bracket and the brake cylinder bracket. The spacer was at lest 3/4 of an inch in diameter. This allowed me to lock the bracket and the master clutch cylinder into place. It was a difficult job completed on the side of the road-it probably would not be so bad if you had a lift. The repair returned the master clutch to service and stiffened up and strenghtened the whole arrangement. I think the whole job took about four hours. I'm a big guy and don't fit into that space so well even with the seat out. I'll get back to you.
