I have found, on advice from fellow saabers, that the WVE brand red DIC is SEM. I have bought three and all are genuine. They sell for $53 versus 300-500 prices you see elsewhere.

for that money it may be worth just replacing. This reminds me to go and pruchase one right now while they continue to last (they have been for the last year or so on r. auto)

I have run plenty of DICs with cracks, but none as large as the one you are showcasing...good luck with any repairs or going replacement route.
