tach signal origin Posted by skibumm100 [Email] (#3255) [Profile/Gallery] (more from skibumm100) on Mon, 6 Jun 2022 07:53:45 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Last question, I promise....
What is the source for the tachometer signal? CPS to ECU to gauge cluster? The tach is bouncing around on one of my 97 9000's and I don't want to just throw parts at it until it goes away. Does the tach signal get buffered like the engine temperature by the EDU? Is it a fairly direct signal? I will be driving the car down the road at a steady speed and the tach will bounce around. If it's the CPS going south I want to replace it before I end up stranded somewhere. I did a search in the archives and didn't find much that pertained. Thanks.
