I finished putting in the pump yesterday and it looks like everything's fixed, no leaks. The pump that came out was a HEPU, I assume that was original. It's only got 230,000 miles on it. While I had it up on stands I decided to swap the PS axle shaft out since I noticed the outer boot was ripped a couple months ago. I stuck in my last new axle shaft. This one was a Rock Auto close-out. Didn't recognize the brand, AUP or something like that. I measured it to make sure it was correct. It was about the easiest axle change I've done yet. The inner boot slipped right on and I reused the small CV boot worm drive clamp that I took off. I have not found a source for these mini clamps. They are sooo much easier to install and remove that the crimp style ones. Axle swap probably took 45 minutes total. The puller tool I use to push the axle shaft out of the hub is a real time saver. One of the best "special tool" purchases I have made. The most worthless was the flexplate jamming tool that Saab used to sell.
