Thanks everyone for the input.
I did manage to disconnect the RF sensor cable which caused the problem to disappear. Had to replace the heater core which was a distraction. Life has intruded too. LF axle outer CV joint is shot. Got a rebuilt axle from Cardone since the difference in price is minimal and that axle looks very old compared to the R one. I've owned this car 12 months now. Still sorting through problems but man does it ever ride nice.
