Or maybe if you are lucky it's only a coolant cap.
Checked is leaking
Does the car run smooth when first started?
It runs, but has high revs until it warms upl
Has the Head Gasket been replaced?
Not yet
Plain Water is not good in cooling systems, no corrosion inhibitors.
Does the oil look like a milkshake ?
No
Does the original fan switch turn on the cooling fan?
No, new fan aftermarket, and have not been able to get fan to automatically come on. Changed the the thermo switch on radiator. Have had to put a dedicated switch in cockpit for the fan until can figure out why it does not automatically turn on.
Is the cooling fan turning the correct direction?
Fixed, it was going wrong direction when hard wired. Reversed polarity working no.
Does the A/C work?
Yes, did a 34a conversion and turned out to be the bad relay in the glove box. Added a new pressure switch same time as conversion.
Clutch makes alot of noise sometimes.
Thanks for the insights Jimmy. Slowly getting everything fixed.
