Hey Saab folks, I have read through many of the non-start, alarm, immobilizer threads here and have really not gained a clear picture on how to solve some of these issues. Let me start from the beginning.

Bought car last weekend, fired up and ran great from Seattle to just below portland. Drove it a few times with no issues. Middle of the week, went to start and would not engage starter, zip, nothing. All dash lights on, but nothing when I turn to the start position. Jump starter solenoid at stater, engages and fires right up. OK, I figure starter relay! Slap a tested good one in, nothing. I check for power at the relay, nothing. If I supply power to start terminal, fires right up. Jerry rig a momentary switch from ignition power to starter solenoid terminal, problem solved. Test multiple times, works great.

Yesterday, go to DMV to get plates and reg, hope out of car, use key to lock, central locking not working. OK, no big deal, unlock it and go inside. Out of state car, gets VIN check, DMV gal opens door to verify door tag vin, alarm goes off. I jump in, cycle ignition, alarm on, jump out, cycle door lock, alarm still on. Alarm rests it self, go back inside to get plates. I come out, hop in, turn on ignition, alarm goes off, hit the new starter button, no start, motor turns over but clearly no power to the spark plugs. Look on here, try several of the immobilizer resets, disconnect battery 10 seconds (severa times) turn key in door once right, 3 times left, try passenger door too, no reset. Towed home. Pulled DS door panel, central lock actuator bench tests bad. Door lock cylinder switch tests good......what the hell next??? Really appreciate some direction and thanks so much for any!!
