Thanks for helping with the speaker size. I thought there were two speakers in there (tweeters as well). Looks like others on the 2016 thread replaced the original with coaxial speakers.

I gingerly tried to remove the black panels from the dash and both seemed to be stuck toward the back. Since this is 30 year old plastic, I'm worried about snapping it.

Was there any trick to getting these off?
