First, you are probably going to get a bunch of emails telling you to check the FAQs. That is what I got as I am just wrapping up the same issue.
Here is a simple answer. A few things could go wrong. First, check the fuse. Second, do the easy thing and switch the dash mounted setting switch. If your seat heats up where it did not before, it is the switch. If there is still no heat and the other seat warms up (because you switched the switches), you know for sure that the switch is good and can assume power is getting to the seat. You should check for voltage at the plug under the seat. I simply took the entire seat out (four bolts and five minutes) and flipped it over. I think the more important test is that you check for continuity for both the lower heating element and the upper one. The lower one is the one in the seat bottom. The upper goes into the back section of your seat. Both can be checked easily. I would bet that one of the wires(elements) severed and now there is an open loop, thus, no power and no heat. I repaired my seat. Not sure I would do this again as the chance of fire hazard is pretty great. So much so, I soldered in a new (I thought identical) wire and quickly nearly burned up the seat! Simply remove the severed wire and solder the wire to the next line and move one. Otherwise, you will have multiple flash points and I would rather replace the part than solder at that point. In fact, if you don't have experience in this area, I would price the leather seat and make my decision then. That is how bad my flash up was! :)
Good luck.
