Congrats Fred!

Your TCS experience comfirms my theory on the difficulty of diagnosing 9000 TCS problems and the necessity of finding an EXPERIENCED dealership to do so if you want to avoid the "just replace everything" fix.

In addition, your experience confirms a weakness in the safety valve of the TCS system (along with the difficulty in diagnosing it). I think you said you had replaced yours just a few years prior. I also had my safety valve replaced a little over a year ago, and in my most recent TCS failure a couple of months ago the problem again turned out to be the safety valve. My service manager casually acknowledged the problem when I picked my car up last month by saying, "see you again next year."
