Help! Bad DI Cassette?

Tried to start my 93' 9KCSE last night. The engine would crank but would not even come close to catching. The car had been running just fine the day before. The weathers been cold (Western Mich.) and I thought about a fuel line freeze...Added dry gas..no help. Checked the fuel pump fuse...no problem there..What happens if the DI cassette goes south. Does it just go all at once or is it a gradual failure? Any other suggestions or advise? Anybody out there had to replace the DI lately and if so how much? Any help would be appreciated... Thxs. G
