I was actually strongly considering it for this engine at the next oil change anyhow, due to my significantly increased boost, and thus torque/hp levels. With the engine out of the car, it should be very easy to address and repair all the possible leakage spots that I have on the current engine, such that synthetic won't lead to more leaks. Other reasons include the environmental factor (small though one car may be, it's something!). Three times less oil needing to be recycled by going with 10,000 mile oil changes. Also, it would give me the luxury of only needing changes maybe twice or at worst three times a year, which is certainly more convenient than having to go everyone two months to the shop..
