I just did this upgrade about three weeks ago with my 1996 9000CS LPT. I bought a used ECU (Saab part number4300836) from a 96 9000 FPT. It took maybe 10 min. to change out. Then the only remaining part was the BPC, vacumm hoses and the mounting bracket. That took maybe 30 min. only because I was not sure which went where but it is easy to figure out. Works great, just like a factory FPT car. I strongly suggest doing it. My total cost was I believe $215. $125 for the ECU and $ 90 for the BPC.
