If it is a very high pitched squeaking, it could be the rubber in the harmonic balancer separating. Harmonic balancer is the "cool" name for the main pulley which is bolted to the crankshaft. It is actually two rings bonded together with rubber which absorbs vibration.
On my 1991 2.3L it started making such a noise when cold and it turned out that it was this part with the rubber separating and the two rings rubbing against each other.
My best suggestion is take the inner fenderwell out and start it up cold....try to locate the source. This is the best way to avoid diagnosis by exclusion...which can become expensive and frustrating!
Hope this helps.
Nick.
